The 2010 Mazda2 line-up is now available to test drive at Jennings Mazda's dealerships in Middlesbrough and Sunderland.

Featuring the same range of exterior and interior enhancements that made the 10-strong model range so attractive last year, there are also two ‘Tamura’ Special Editions available.

Customers visiting the Cargo Fleet Lane dealership in Middlesbrough and the Riverside Road branch in Sunderland have a choice of three petrol and two diesel powertrains, three generous equipment levels, the TS, TS2 and Sport all of which are available with either three-door and five-door hatchback bodystyles.

Mazda introduced the ‘Tamura’ cars based on its popular Mazda2 1.3-litre 86ps models with stylish visual enhancements and special exterior colours. Available at Jennings Mazda with a choice of three-door or five-door body styles, the Tamura twins represent excellent value for motorists across the North East.

“As well as offering customers a uniquely sporty appearance on each new Tamura, Mazda is also maintaining extremely competitive pricing for these Special Edition models, said James Chortlon, franchise manager at Jennings Mazda in Middlesbrough.

“These models retain all the practicality, generous equipment and fun-to-drive dynamics for which Mazda vehicles are rightly famous and bring an extra appeal with their distinctive looks and unique exterior colours.”

The 2010 Mazda2 1.3 Tamura is based on the TS2 model and benefits from the addition of a Sports Styling Pack (including front and rear sports bumpers, 2-bar sports grille, side skirts and rear spoiler), new four cylinder headlamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, special ‘Tamura’ badging and free metallic paint.

The 10-strong regular Mazda range, which boasts CO2 ratings from just 107g/km, includes one of the most price-competitive small cars in the UK, the entry-level Mazda2 TS (3 door, 1.3-litre, 75ps) with air-conditioning as standard.

All Mazda2 models are available to purchase under the new Government-backed scrappage scheme, with a Mazda allowance of £1000, in addition to the government contribution.

“Demand for Mazda2 has been even greater than we anticipated, boosted by the availability of the three-door model with its special appeal to a different group of consumers. The 2010 range with its generous specification and incredibly fuel-efficient diesel Sport models, are continuing to strengthen Mazda sales this year,” James added.
