When it comes to providing a product of extremely high quality, in addition to an exceptional customer service, Motability motorists across the region need look no further than JenningsFord Direct in South Shields.

The dealership, based at Newcastle Road, provides a service specifically tailored to meet the needs of Motability customers.

Over the years, JenningsFord has assisted hundreds of motorists on the road to mobility through the scheme.

Gordon Dixon, 59, from South Shields, being one of them. Mr Dixon, like many other customers, likes to shop around to make sure he’s getting the right car, at the right price and with nothing but the best possible customer service.

After scouring motor dealers across the region, he ended up at JenningsFord Direct in South Shields where loyal and dedicated Motability specialist, Ray Maitland, who has just been rewarded for achieving 15 years’ service, is based.

Ray is responsible for giving advice and providing both an exceptional customer service and after-sales service to more than 365 Motability customers across South Tyneside.

In addition to offering a second to none service, customers can take advantage of a number of additional services, including the Jennings Ford Home Visit Scheme and an Adaptation Service.

If for whatever reason, a customer is unable to visit the showroom personally, the Home Visit Scheme allows appointments to be made at their convenience and in the comfort of their own home.

The Jennings Ford Adaptation Service involves vehicles being specially adapted to meet individual needs and requirements.

Motability was set up on the initiative of the Government in 1978 to provide vehicles and powered wheelchairs to disabled people. In order to qualify for a car through the Motability scheme, customers must be in receipt of one of the following benefits: the Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (HRMC of DVLA), War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMA) or currently driving a government vehicle, trike or mini.

Customers eligible for the Motability scheme can take their pick from the whole Ford range, everything from the Ford Ka, Fiesta and Fusion to the Focus, C-Max, Mondeo, S-MAX and Galaxy, is readily available to test drive at the branch in South Shields.
