Customers ‘tee-off’ at corporate event

The number 13 maybe unlucky for some, but not for Jennings Motor Group, who have just celebrated hosting another successful hospitality event.
Business customers from Jennings’ South Tyneside Business Centre, which is responsible for providing Ford, Mazda and Commercial vehicles to businesses throughout the North East, exchanged their business suits for golfing attire and ‘teed off’ as part of the company’s 13th annual hospitality event.
More than 60 customers spent an afternoon at Wearside Golf Club at Cox Green in Sunderland.
The top prize of £100 worth of golfing vouchers was awarded to Kevin Rutherford from Houseproud Joinery. In second place was Dave Holehouse from Spectrum Decorators who received £60 worth of vouchers and in third place was Rob Houston from Rocket Medical, who walked away with £40 worth of vouchers.
In addition C Brooker representing Fyr Fyter and Ian Williamson from SIG Compibloc both won prizes for the ‘nearest to the pin’ and ‘longest drive’ respectively.
Ray Cardwell, business centre manager, based at the group’s branch in Sunderland, said; “This is the thirteenth annual golfing event we have organised and once again, it has been a huge success.”
He added: “It is an ideal way to mix business with pleasure and it is also a way in which we can thank both existing customers for their business over the years, in addition to welcoming new customers to the company.”
After three hours of birdies, eagles and bogies, but unfortunately no hole-in-one, guests were treated to a meal and refreshments in the clubhouse.
