Customers ‘tee off’ at corporate golf event

Business customers of Jennings Motor Group were treated to an afternoon on the golf course recently as part the company’s annual hospitality event.
More than 70 customers exchanged their business suits for golfing attire and ‘teed off’ for an afternoon of golf at Wearside Golf Club in Sunderland.
For the past 12 years, Jennings’ South Tyneside Business Centre, which is responsible for providing Ford, Mazda and Commercial vehicles to businesses throughout the North East, has been hosting the golfing hospitality event which also involved a number of prizes being up for grabs.
The top prize of £100 worth of golfing vouchers was awarded to Steve Tyler from Continental Crushing and Convey Ltd in Sunderland. In second place was Brian Stone who won £60 worth of vouchers and in third place was Steve Hunter from International Plastic Systems in Seaham, who walked away with £40.
There were also prizes for the nearest to the pin and the longest drive.
Ray Cardwell, business centre manager said; “Golf days are an ideal way to mix business with pleasure and it is also a way in which we can thank both existing customers for their business over the years, in addition to welcoming new customers to the company.”
Ray added; “Thankfully we were blessed with good weather, which was an added bonus on the day.”
No one was fortunate to score a hole-in-one, but after three hours of birdies, eagles and bogies, guests relaxed with refreshments and a meal in the clubhouse.
The group’s South Tyneside Business Centre supplies vehicles from local, one-man operations to multi-national firms.
