A loyal and dedicated member of staff at Jennings Motor Group has been rewarded for his hard work with a promotion.
Kevin Gibbon, 54, from Hartlepool, has been working for the company for the past 27 years and has recently taken on the new role of group parts manager.
In his new role, Kevin will report directly to managing director, Nas Khan and will oversee parts departments based at the group’s Ford, Mazda, SEAT and Kia branches across the region in order to ensure customers continue to receive competitively priced products and the highest level of customer service.
Kevin said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for me to further improve and expand the already successful parts departments across the group. It’s a challenge I am very much looking forward to.”
Kevin’s career with Jennings started in 1986 in the parts department at the group’s Ford dealership based on Yarm Road in Stockton. Kevin’s potential was soon recognised by his managers and he quickly rose through the ranks receiving his first promotion in 1990 to assistant parts manager.
In 1992, he received another promotion to parts manager and transferred to the group’s Washington branch, prior to taking over the reins within the parts department of the Newcastle Road branch in South Shields.
In 2003, Kevin transferred to take on the role of parts manager at the group’s new multi-franchise site, which operates Ford, Mazda and SEAT franchises and dealerships.
Kevin’s career in the motor industry started when he left school at the age of 16 and he found full-time employment at a motor dealer in Hartlepool.
Welcoming Kevin on board, managing director, Nas Khan, said; “Kevin has been a loyal member of staff for nearly three decades, during which time he has demonstrated his commitment and dedication not only to the company, but also to his work colleagues. The new position of group parts manager is part of a company restructure which has been implemented to further improve the range of services we offer our customers and I am confident that Kevin is the right candidate to meet this objective and further expand and develop the company’s existing parts departments across the group.”
Jennings Motor Group has branches at Middlesbrough, Stockton, Gateshead, South Shields and Washington.
