A recent dinner dance has further boosted funds for a local businessman’s charity, The Emaan Foundation.

The aim of the charity, set up by Nas Khan, managing director of Jennings Motor Group, is to help rebuild lives in his former native country of Pakistan, following the floods which took place last summer.

The recent fundraising event, which took place at the Sporting Lodge Hotel in Middlesbrough and included a popular Motown Tribute Act, was hailed a huge success with fundraising on the night, topping £2000 and boosting the grand total raised to date to £70,000.

Delighted with the continued support and generosity from the people of the North East, Nas Khan, said;

“I am absolutely overwhelmed by the generosity from the people of the North East. We have now raised a staggering £70,000 of the £120,000 target, which is an incredible achievement.”

The money is needed to build a whole new village consisting of 60 homes for the people of Rahim Yar Khan, south of Punjab in Pakistan.

He added; “Funds raised to date, has enabled work to start on site and already three families have been presented with the key to their brand new homes.”

The easiest and quickest way to make a donation to The Emaan Foundation, is online via the website, or via the charity’s Justgiving site at

The Emaan Foundation is also currently holding a raffle to win a brand new car. Only 300 tickets have been printed and at a cost of £50 per ticket, one lucky person will be walking away with the key to a brand new motor, worth more than £9000.
