Fiesta success at Jennings

Posted on 14 Nov 2006

Nearing the end of the busiest sales month and staff at Jennings Ford have reported an increase in sales compared to last year.

The first quarter of 2006, proved to be an exceptional period for the Group’s Sunderland branch, but according to latest figures, the Riverside Road dealership is set to exceed previous performances during this year’s March ‘07’ plate change month.

David Walker, general sales manager at Jennings Ford in Sunderland, said; “Last year we comfortably achieved all sales objectives for the first quarter, but this year sales have been even healthier, which is obviously good news for Jennings and for Ford.”

In addition to Europe’s Car of the Year 2007, the S-MAX continuing to have a dramatic impact on the MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicles) segment, the main contributing factor to the success of the first quarter is down to Britain’s favourite small car, the Ford Fiesta.

David added; “Customers are taking advantage of the Fiesta 1.25 Zetec model, which is currently available with a free Technology Pack and includes rain sensing front wipers, auto headlamps, power door mirrors and remote audio controls.”

Other vehicles in the Ford range still proving popular with customers include the Ka, Focus, Mondeo, C-Max and Galaxy. There’s also a new addition to the Ford family following the launch of the new Ford Coupé-Cabriolet in January of this year.

To mark the 30th anniversary of the Fiesta, Ford has also unleashed a high spec, bright and funky limited edition of its Fiesta Zetec S model. Anyone wanting to get their hands on one of the editions can visit the Riverside Road dealership for a test drive. Speed is of the essence, however, with only 250 models having been allocated for the UK.
