FORMER APPRENTICE SWITCHES ROLE AT JENNINGS MOTOR GROUP
Posted on 25 Apr 2012
A former Apprentice from Sunderland has been given the opportunity to broaden his experience and knowledge and it’s all thanks to his employer, Jennings Motor Group.
David Henderson, 27, from New Herrington, has not only changed his job role from an accounts administrator to accounts analyst, but he has also transferred to work within the group’s IT department, which is based within the Ford dealership at Eslington Park in Gateshead.
Working alongside a five-strong IT team which is headed by group systems manager, Geoff Hay, David will report to the group’s accountant, John Hepple, and will be responsible for providing daily accounts/reports for the group’s Ford, Mazda, SEAT and Kia branches located across the North East. In addition to this, he will also be responsible for the day-to-day accounts at the group’s Kia franchise based in Washington.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for me to broaden my experience and knowledge in IT and although I have enjoyed working as an accounts administrator, I am looking forward to the many challenges ahead in my new role as an accounts analyst,” said David.
Dedicated David started working for Jennings Ford ten years ago when he embarked on a two-year Business Administration Apprenticeship within the service department at the group’s former dealership in Sunderland.
Later he went on to gain experience working as a service receptionist prior to completing a book-keeping course and achieving his AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification.
For the past three years David has gained valuable experience as an accounts administrator where he was responsible for handling cash, credit control, in addition to liaising with external suppliers.
Group accountant, John Hepple, said; “David is a loyal and dedicated member of staff. With his determination and dedication, I am confident he will do extremely well in his new role.”
