Hard work has paid off for a member of staff at Jennings Ford in Gateshead who has been celebrating following a promotion to business manager.
Keith Morton, 60, from Gateshead, has more than 30 years’ experience working within a sales environment in the motor industry and for the past eighteen years has been employed as a sales executive at Jennings Ford’s Eslington Park dealership in Gateshead.
In his new role as business manager, Keith will be working closely with sales manager Barry Fearon and sales controller, David Glendinning with the day-to-day running of the dealership, in addition to being responsible for all aspects of customer finance.
Despite leaving school and embarking on an Apprenticeship at a local factory with the aim to become an approved maintenance fitter, Keith had a burning ambition to work with cars and was determined to secure suitable employment within the motor industry, which he did successfully and hasn’t looked back since.
Over the years, he has gained valuable experience and knowledge which has contributed towards his on-going success and recent promotion at Jennings Ford.
Keith said; “This is a great opportunity for me and a challenge I am very much looking forward to.”
He added: “I have always enjoyed working at Jennings, but the most enjoyable part of my job, in addition to dealing with customers, is selling the Ford product range which offers something for everyone, from the funky and compact Ka, refined Fiesta, spacious Fusion and the popular Focus and Mondeo hatchbacks to the practical and stylish C-MAX, trendy Kuga and fashionable multi-purpose Galaxy and S-MAX models.”
