Jennings Motor Group has expanded its internet sales centre in order to meet national demand from customers making on-line purchases.
Employee Anthony Moon, 29, from Washington, has transferred from the group’s Ford dealership in Middlesbrough where he worked as a sales executive, to take on the new role of internet sales executive at the Parsons Road branch in Washington.
Working as part of a five-strong team, Anthony will be working alongside internet sales manager, Steven Flack and the team of internet sales executives and will be responsible for securing sales on a local and national level, in addition to arranging vehicle delivery for individual customers.
Anthony brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge in sales, having worked in the motor industry for the past 12 years.
Anthony said; “Securing sales over the telephone is a completely new selling technique for me, but it is a challenge I am very much looking forward to.”
Initially, the internet department was set up with the aim to operate as a call centre by responding to customer enquiries and filtering potential sales leads to managers across the group’s Ford, Mazda, SEAT and Kia branch network, in addition to responding to sales enquiries for Jennings Ford’s Commercial sales centres across the region.
At the beginning of 2012, the call centre diversified into a sales centre and the team was made responsible for securing sales and arranging vehicle delivery.
Internet sales manager, Steven Flack, said; “As advances in technology progress and more customers are using the internet for their purchasing needs, it was the perfect time to recruit a new member of staff in order to cater for the demand from customers making on-line purchases.
“Anthony has a wealth of experience and knowledge which he will bring to the team.”
