Internet sales team expands with new recruit

Multi-award winning Jennings Motor Group has strengthened its internet sales department with a new recruit.

Sam Khan, 25, from Stockton, is the latest addition to join the internet department, which is based at the group’s Head Office on Parsons Road in Washington.

Initially, the internet sales department was set up with the aim to operate as a call centre and respond to customer enquiries by filtering potential sales leads to sales managers across the group’s Ford, Kia, Mazda, SEAT and Mitsubishi branches, in addition to the company’s two Ford Transit Centres for commercial vehicles.

A few years ago, following a change in demand from customers making more on-line enquiries and purchases, the motor dealer group decided to implement a new strategy and diversified the call centre into a sales centre.

Working as part of a five-strong team, Sam will be responsible for liaising with potential customers’ on-line and securing local and national sales over the telephone, in addition to arranging vehicle deliveries for customers.

Since completing ‘A’ Level qualifications in Business, IT and Law at Stockton Sixth Form College, Sam has gained valuable experience in retail sales, in addition to managing a food outlet in Yarm, Stockton, he said; “This is an excellent opportunity for me to learn about the wide product ranges available across each marque, in addition to gaining experience and knowledge in new and used car sales.”

Heading the department is Jennings Motor Group’s internet sales manager, Paul Beadling, who over the years, has seen a substantial increase in the number of customers wanting to commit to a purchase without visiting the dealerships and viewing the car in person.”  

Paul said; “The majority of customers know exactly which model and specification they are looking for when they first visit our website. 

“As a result of being able to offer competitive prices and a wide range of high quality products, in addition to our award-winning customer service, the majority of those customers are willing to make that final purchasing decision without physically seeing and inspecting the vehicle on site.”

Jennings’ internet sales centre has not only secured sales nationally, from as far north as the Shetland Islands and the most southern point Plymouth, but it has also obtained a number of international sales.
