Surfing the internet paid off for local man, Marc Goodings - when he landed a new job in sales at Jennings Mazda.
Marc Goodings, 38, from Ryhope in Sunderland, is the latest recruit to further strengthen the sales team at Jennings Mazda on Riverside Road, after being appointed as a sales executive.
“I was looking to change my job and started surfing the internet when I came across JenningsMazda’s website and noticed a vacancy in sales, which was just perfect for me,” said Marc.
Passing the interview with flying colours, Marc was offered the job and gladly accepted.
Marc brings more than nine years’ experience in the motor industry, having worked in a similar role for a number of motor dealers across the North East region in the past.
His new responsibilities will include working as part of an eight-strong sales team and selling new and used cars to customers across Wearside. In addition, he will also contribute towards achieving monthly and quarterly sales objectives set out by Mazda, liaising with existing and potential customers, providing the highest level of customer service and ensuring vehicles are delivered to customers within the time allocated.
“I am delighted to have been given this excellent opportunity with such a long established and well respected company as Jennings and look forward to furthering my career within the company,” said Marc.
Before embarking on a career within the motor industry, Marc worked as a production operative at Nissan, and prior to that, travelled the length and breadth of the country for Weeco delivering training in battery recycling.
Welcoming Marc on board, Norman Shepherd, franchise manager at Jennings Mazda in Sunderland, said;
“Marc’s previous knowledge and experience made him the ideal candidate for the vacancy and I am delighted to have him working as part of the sales team.”
