Jennings Ford offers sneak preview of new Ford Fiesta ST
Posted on 13 Apr 2010
Despite the new Ford Fiesta ST not being officially unveiled until 2011, JenningsFord is delighted to be able to offer customers a sneak preview of what’s in store.
The big news is that the new Ford Fiesta ST model, which will be available at Jennings Ford branches across the region, is likely to have a lot more power than previous models with an impressive 180 bhp. As well as providing great cornering and road holding, it will also add plenty of power to the mix.
Ford is keeping tight lipped about the new Ford Fiesta ST, however, some reputable car magazines have already been privileged to take advantage of inside sources in order to give a inkling about what to expect. The anticipation is exciting and creating a real buzz and has even resulted in buyers delaying their new car purchase until the new Ford Fiesta ST arrives in showrooms, despite the wait being at least another 12 months.
The majority wanting news on the latest addition scheduled for the Ford stable, have relied on spy pictures, which so far, have been extremely impressive, despite Ford denying these pictures are legit and stating they are just pictures of cars on display at the 2009 Los Angeles Motor Show.
The new Ford Fiesta ST model is expected to come with what has been previously described as a sporty design involving the use of kinetics which adds to the aerodynamics of the body. Fitted with a 1.6-litre EcoBoost unit, the new Ford Fiesta ST is also expected to come equipped with an extended roof spoiler, twin exhausts and a rear diffuser.
Despite much of the information about the new model being speculative, there are a few pieces of information which seem reasonable to expect. One is that the new engine will be capable of acceleration from 0 to 62 miles per hour in less than seven seconds. The other is that the car will be able to reach a top speed of 140 mph.
Anyone wanting to catch a glimpse of the model in its flesh can do when it makes its debut at the Geneva Motor Show next year. Meanwhile, summer 2011 is when official purchases can be made at any Jennings Ford dealership across the North East.
