Jennings Ford, part of the Jennings Motor Group, is stepping in to support one of the region’s biggest family fun days - and it’s all free!
Motability’s ‘One Big Day’ event, is scheduled to take place at Newcastle Racecourse on Thursday 1 August, between 9am and 4pm.
The Motability scheme, set up by the government in 1978, enables disabled people to use their government funded mobility allowance to lease a new car, scooter or powered wheelchair every three years.
People eligible to Motability and their families will be able to attend the free event where a range of cars, adaptations, wheelchair accessible vehicles, scooters and powered wheelchairs available through the Motability programme, will be on display.
Dedicated Motability specialists from Jennings Ford’s Middlesbrough, Stockton and Gateshead dealerships, will be attending the event with an extensive display of Ford vehicles which are available to Motability customers through the Motability programme.
In addition to receiving professional advice about the Motability programme, Motability customers who visit Jennings Ford’s stand will be given the opportunity to test drive models available in the Ford range, in addition to receiving up to £50 off advance payments on the day.
Models currently available in the Motability range at Jennings Ford include the Ka, Fiesta, Focus, Focus C-MAX, Grand C-MAX, B-MAX, Mondeo, Galaxy, S-MAX and Kuga, all of which come with free parking sensors.
Throughout the day there will also be fun and entertainment for all the family to enjoy, including a children’s play area, face painting, raffles, competitions, free refreshments and free parking, to name but a few.
Jill Wilson, group Motability specialist at Jennings Ford’s Yarm Road branch in Stockton, said; “We are delighted to be able to support the event for another year. It is the ideal platform for us as a group to promote the Motability range and services available to those who are eligible to obtain a vehicle through the successful Motability programme.”
To qualify for Motability, customers must be in receipt of either the Enhanced Rate of the Motability Component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP), the Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (HRMC of DLA) or the War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS).
