Jennings Motor Group has strengthened its service team with a new recruit.

Ashley Gray, 28, from South Shields, has been appointed as a service receptionist at the group’s service department based on Parsons Road in Washington.

Her new role will entail working as part of a 13-strong service team, being the first point of contact for customers, booking vehicles in for service and MOTs,  taking telephone enquiries, liaising with customers and completing paperwork.

Ashley said; “I have always enjoyed meeting and speaking to different people and working in a customer-facing role.

“I am delighted to have been given such an excellent opportunity with one of the region’s longest established motor dealers.”

After leaving Brinkburn Comprehensive School in South Shields with seven GCSEs, Ashley continued her education at South Tyneside College where she successfully achieved three ‘A’ Levels.

She then went on to gain valuable experience and knowledge working in various customer-facing roles, which included spending a number of years as a service receptionist for another motor dealer.

Welcoming Ashley on board, service manager, June Appleyard, said; “We are delighted to welcome Ashley to the service team at Washington.  Her previous work experience and knowledge made her the ideal candidate for the role and already she is proving to be a valuable asset to the team.”
