Jennings Motor Group raises over £13k for local Hospice
Jennings Motor Group has raised more than thirteen thousand pounds for its chosen charity of 2015, Teesside Hospice.
Last year, the motor dealer group which operates Ford, Kia, Mazda, SEAT and Mitsubishi dealerships across the region, pledged its support to the Middlesbrough-based Hospice when it was selected as the company’s nominated charity.

Initial fundraising was kick-started with a donation of £5k and throughout the year a number of fundraising events have taken place, including golf days, Soul/Motown events and raffles, in addition to a number of male members of staff who abstained from shaving for a month.
Nas Khan, managing director of Jennings Motor Group, said; “We are absolutely delighted to have been able to support the Hospice throughout 2015. The specialist care the Hospice provides, in addition to the number of services they are able to offer local people, is truly outstanding.”
The official presentation took place at Jennings Ford’s dealership on Cargo Fleet Lane in Middlesbrough where managing director, Nas Khan and his PA, Bev Stephenson, handed a cheque for the sum of £13,384 to Maureen Thompson, chief executive of Teesside Hospice.
Maureen said; “We are so grateful to have had the support of Jennings Motor Group over the past year. They have gone above and beyond to help raise vital funds for Teesside Hospice and make a difference to the lives of local people suffering from cancer and other life limiting illnesses.”
Teesside Hospice was established in 1982 and is partly funded by the NHS, but still needs to raise approximately £5200 each day of the year via its own resources, in order to provide specialist palliative care for local people suffering from advanced cancer and other life limiting illness. Services provided by the Hospice include Inpatient Care, Day Care Service, Outpatient Clinic and Bereavement Counselling.
