Kevin’s reward for 25 years' loyalty

A manager at Jennings Motor Group has been rewarded after achieving a quarter of a century’s worth of loyalty with the company.
Kevin Gibbon, 52, from Hartlepool, who has more than 35 years’ experience within the motor industry, currently works as parts manager at the group’s Ford, Mazda and SEAT supersite on Cargo Fleet Lane in Middlesbrough.
Kevin’s career with Jennings, started in 1986 in the parts department within JenningsFord’s Yarm Road dealership in Stockton. Kevin quickly rose through the ranks and was soon promoted to assistant manager.
In 1992, he received a promotion to parts manager and transferred to the group’s Washington branch, prior to taking over the reins within the parts department of the Newcastle Road dealership in South Shields.
In 2003, an opportunity arose at the group’s supersite on Cargo Fleet Lane in Middlesbrough and Kevin transferred to take over as parts manager of the Ford, Mazda and SEAT operations.
“It is great to have your hard work recognised in such a rewarding way as this,” said Kevin.
The presentation took place in Middlesbrough where Peter Binks, group parts manager, handed the loyalty vouchers to Kevin.
Kevin’s career in the motor industry started at the age of 16 when he left school and found full-time employment at the former Ewart Parsons dealership on Brenda Road in Hartlepool, prior to seeking alternative employment at Jennings.
