Last chance for Mazda’s sporty and sophisticated limited edition RX-8

Time is of the essence for motorists who want to get their hands on a unique sports model at JenningsMazda in Middlesbrough and Sunderland.
To celebrate the 40th anniversary since Mazda launched its first rotary-powered engine, the Mazda Cosmos Sport, Mazda has released a strict limited number of its latest rotary model, the Mazda RX-8 40th Anniversary Limited Edition.
Only 400 models have been allocated for the UK and three of those were earmarked for JenningsMazda’s Cargo Fleet Lane and Riverside Road dealerships.
Due to high demand, two of the three allocated models have already been sold and James Chorlton, franchise manager at the branch in Middlesbrough, is warning motorists who are keen to get their hands on the last remaining unique model, to be quick off the mark as it will be sold in no time.
“The original RX-8 was launched back in 2003 and since then, thanks to the sporty coupé’s unique practicality and sophisticated look, not only has it changed the face of the sports car market in the UK, but it has also won more than 50 global awards,” said James.
James added; “The limited edition which has been launched to celebrate Mazda’s 40th rotary powered car, has been a huge success from the day the models arrived in the showrooms. With this in mind, I would like to advise anyone who is interested in the last remaining model, to arrange a test drive at their earliest convenience, so as not to cause any disappointment.”
Based on a special concept car first presented at the Goodwood Festival of Speed earlier this year, the Mazda RX-8 40th Anniversary Limited Edition adds components to the chassis and bodyshell, in addition to special exterior and interior features.
The limited edition model is available in two special body colours, including a newly developed Metropolitan Grey Mica and a truly distinctive Crystal White Pearlescent.
The model also comes with a unique number, boasts unique wheel design and 40th anniversary badging, offers special seat trim materials, in addition to an aerodynamic rear spoiler with integrated badging and an uprated suspension with Bilstein dampers.
Inside, the Mazda RX-8 40th Anniversary Limited Edition features seats trimmed in black leather with stone Alcantara centre sections. For an extra touch of quality, the steering wheel is black leather with stone stitching to match the seat centre section colour with the handbrake and gear lever also trimmed in the same black leather.
