Latest addition to Ford’s growing green club arrives at Jennings
Posted on 07 Jul 2009
Motorists visiting Jennings Ford’s branch in Sunderland can take their pick from a range of greener, eco-friendly models.
The ECOnetic range, which consists of a Focus 1.6-litre TDCi engine and the ECOnetic Mondeo 1.8 TDCi, has just been further complimented with a new addition, the Fiesta ECOnetic model.
With emissions of only 98g/km and is capable of averaging more than 76 miles per gallon, the new ECO version of the nation’s favourite hatchback is currently exempt from road tax.
Powered by a 1.6-litre diesel engine, the new ECOnetic Fiesta model has been recalibrated for optimum economy and is available in three or five door models.
Air deflectors and lowered suspension have been designed to improve aerodynamics. Tyres with low rolling resistance reduce drag further while the engine uses low friction oil and fifth gear operates at a lower ratio to get the most out of each gallon.
David Walker, general sales manager at Jennings Ford in Sunderland, said;
“The new ECOnetic model range not only gives customers a clearer conscience about the impact they are having on the environment, but it also is an excellent way in which customers can make substantial savings.”
“For those who are reluctant to trust hybrid or electric models but who still want to do their bit for the environment, the Ford ECOnetic range provides the perfect solution.”
The new ECOnetic Fiesta is available to test drive at Jennings Ford’s Riverside Road dealership, just off Wessington Way in Sunderland.
