Latest recruit strengthens sales team at Jennings Mitsubishi
Jennings Mitsubishi, part of the Jennings Motor Group, has further strengthened its sales team with a new recruit.
Mathew Abson, 21, from Newton Aycliffe, has joined the group’s Cargo Fleet Lane dealership in Middlesbrough, as a sales executive.
Working as part of a five-strong team, Mathew will be responsible for selling the new Mitsubishi model range, in addition to quality used cars to customers. Part of his role will also include ensuring customer’s vehicles complete a pre-delivery inspection process and are delivered within the allocated timescale, processing paperwork, liaising with both existing and potential customers, in addition to providing the highest level of customer service.

Mathew said; “I’m delighted to have been appointed with such a long established and well respected motor dealer group as Jennings and I’m looking forward to learning about the Mitsubishi model line-up, which has something to offer everyone’s needs.”
After successfully achieving three ‘A’ Levels, Mathew started training to be a plumber, but a move to the North East from Market Weighton in East Yorkshire, resulted in a change in his career path when he later embarked on an Apprenticeship programme with a local property developer with the aim to become a property engineer. He also gained customer service skills working as a bartender at a public house in Newton Aycliffe.
But when Mathew noticed an online advertisement for a vacancy in sales at Jennings Mitsubishi, he was keen to embrace another change.
Welcoming Mathew on board, Keith Moore, franchise manager at the Jennings Mitsubishi dealership in Middlesbrough, said; “Mathew is an ambitious young man who is keen to learn and succeed and already he is proving to be an asset to the team.”
The Jennings Mitsubishi dealership sells the entire new car range with everything from the i-MiEV and Mirage, to the Outlander, Outlander PHEV, Shogun and L200 on display and available to test drive.
Customers who purchase a vehicle from the dealership can also take advantage of an on-site service, MOT, accident repair centre and parts department.
