A member of staff employed by Jennings Motor Group has been given the opportunity to gain experience and knowledge working in a new role within the internet sales department.
Liam Clarke, 20, from Washington, joined the company last year when he was appointed as a sales executive within the group’s Kia dealership, based on Parsons Road in Washington.
When the opportunity arose to transfer to the group’s internet sales department as an internet sale executive, Liam was keen to take on the role in order to gain additional experience and product knowledge, in addition to learning a completely new selling technique.
Initially, the internet sales department was set up with the aim to operate as a call centre by responding to customer enquiries and filtering potential sales leads to managers across the group’s Ford, Mazda, SEAT and Kia branch network, in addition to responding to sales enquiries for Jennings Ford’s Commercial sales centres across the region.
The call centre has since diversified into a sales centre and the team is currently responsible for securing sales and arranging vehicle delivery.
Based at the group’s Parsons Road dealership in Washington, Liam will be working as part of a five-strong team, responsible for securing sales on a local and national level, in addition to arranging vehicle delivery for individual customers.
Liam said; “This is a fantastic opportunity for me to expand my product knowledge across the Ford, Mazda, SEAT and Kia range.
“Securing sales over the telephone is a completely new selling technique, but a challenge I am looking forward to.”
Welcoming Liam on board, internet sales manager, Paul Beadling, said; “Expanding the team will enable us to further meet the needs and demands from customers making on-line purchases.”
