A team of ambitious youngsters are hoping their new strips will take them to the first division – and it’s all thanks to their local motor dealer, JenningsFord.
A set of new football strips, supplied by JenningsFord in Stockton, have brought nothing but good luck to the under 9s team from Stockton Town Football Club, after the team was crowned champions and placed 1st in Division 3 of the Teesside Junior Football Alliance League.
The youngsters are hoping the strips will bring the same good fortune next season when they will be competing against teams in Division 2.
Ian Duck, Manager of Stockton Town FC, said; “We would like to thank JenningsFord for their continuous support. The strips certainly boosted moral and this was reflected in their performance on the pitch.”
Ian added; “We’re delighted at being Division 3 champions and look forward to the same success competing in the 2nd division next season.”
Stockton Town Football Club was formed in 1987 under its former Hartburn Juniors FC. The Club changed its name in June 2003 to Stockton Town FC. There are currently 10 Junior Football Teams representing the Club in ages ranging from U7/8 through to U16s and 1 Senior team at over 35s.
Commenting on the sponsorship, Steven Flack, sales manager at JenningsFord in Stockton, said; “As a company committed to supporting the local community, we were more than willing to help and we’re absolutely delighted the team has done so well this season.”comments powered by
