Loyalty bonus for Jennings’ employee
Posted on 27 Jul 2007
A member of staff at Jennings Ford has been rewarded for his loyalty to the company.
Loyal and dedicated, Steve Harvey, 44, from Ryton, works as a commercial vehicle sales manager and is based at the Group’s new Riverside Road dealership, off Wessington Way in Sunderland.
Remaining loyal to the company for 15 years resulted in a presentation at the Sunderland dealership which involved Nicky Dalkin, operations director handing loyalty vouchers to Steve.
Nicky Dalkin, operations director for the Jennings Motor Group, said; “The majority of our staff are loyal and longstanding. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Steve on accruing his years of loyalty.”
Steve Harvey, commercial vehicle sales manager, said; “I’m delighted to receive the vouchers. It’s great to have your hard work recognised in such a rewarding way and I’m looking forward to many more successful years with Jennings.”
Steve’s career in the motor industry started in 1992 when he was appointed as a commercial vehicle valeter. Keen to make the switch from cleaning to selling commercial vehicles, Steve was given the opportunity to gain experience working as an admin assistant. Later, he started selling new and used commercial vehicles. Six years ago, he took on the managerial position of commercial vehicle sales manager.
It hasn’t always been about selling cars, prior to finding employment in the motor industry Steve worked as maintenance fitter for Bridon Fibres, based in Gateshead.
