Loyalty breeds success at Jennings

When it comes to staff loyalty, Jennings Motor Group is light years ahead – 2012 will see 22 members of staff achieving a combined 605 years' loyalty to the company.
Last year, the Group, which employs 447 staff at its Ford, Mazda, SEAT and Kia dealerships across the North East, rewarded 31 members of staff who achieved a combined total of 630 years’ loyalty with the company.
The latest member of staff to be rewarded at Jennings Ford’s Eslington Park dealership in Gateshead, is master technician, Steve Murray.
Not only has dedicated Steve, 46, from Blyth, remained loyal for the past 15 years, but he was also one of the region’s first technicians to qualify in a ground breaking national initiative which was governed by The Institute of the Motor Industry in 2005.
The Automotive Technician Accreditation was awarded to Steve after he successfully passed a number of rigorous practical and theory tests. Since then, he has worked his way up the ranks to the highest level of master technician status.
“Since joining the company, I have been given valuable support, encouragement and the opportunity to progress through to the highest level of master technician status. To also have your loyalty recognised in such a rewarding way as this, is fantastic,” said Steve.
For the past 30 years, mechanically minded Steve has been diagnosing problems under the bonnet and prior to joining Jennings Ford, gained valuable experience and knowledge having worked for number of Auto Centres across the region.
In addition to boasting a loyal and dedicated workforce, Jennings also has a reputation for having a loyal customer database, with generations of the same family coming to Jennings for their car purchasing and servicing needs.

Jennings is renowned for being one of the region’s longest established companies after being established in 1917 when Ford Motor Company appointed Jennings to sell its cars. In 2001, the company became a multi franchise following the introduction of new brands including Mazda and SEAT and in 2011 Jennings Kia was launched.
