Loyalty reaps rewards for dedicated David

A member of staff at Jennings Ford, part of the multi-award winning Jennings Motor Group, has received a second award in recognition of his hard work and loyalty to the company.
David Glendinning, 52, from Chester-le-Street, has achieved two decades of loyalty at the group’s branch in Gateshead.
His career with the region’s longest established motor dealer group began when he was appointed as a business manager at the Eslington Park dealership, after gaining 16 years of valuable finance and banking experience working in various roles for Lloyds Bank.

David said: “I was ready for a change and new challenge and the role of business manager was ideal for me because it involved being responsible for all aspects of finance for customers.”
In 2003, David’s hard work was recognised with a promotion from business manager to sales controller, the same position he holds today.
As sales controller, David is responsible for assisting sales manager, Barry Fearon, with the day-to-day running of the dealership, overseeing a 10-strong sales team and contributing towards monthly and quarterly new and used car sales objectives.
David added: “The loyalty programme is a great incentive and reward for members of staff.”
To mark the loyalty milestone, Nas Khan, managing director of Jennings Motor Group, paid a special visit to the Gateshead-based dealership where he presented David with a loyalty certificate and some vouchers.
Nas said: “I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate David for his continuous hard work and loyalty over the years.
“This is the second award for David, who has worked exceptionally hard and is an asset to the sales team at Gateshead.”
2016 will see 29 employees receiving a combined 660 years’ loyalty. Members of staff are rewarded with loyalty vouchers after the first 15 years, then they are presented after every five years.
