Lucky Leon scoops limited edition cycling jersey
Liking and sharing a page on social media paid off for one lucky Stockton man, who bagged a couple of prizes in the process – and it was all thanks to Jennings Kia and Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.
Leon Owen, was the lucky winner of an official limited edition jersey, as well as being given the opportunity to get up close to cyclists taking part in the Stockton Grand Prix, part of the Council’s three-day annual Cycling Festival, in the Jennings Kia guest VIP car.
This is the 8th consecutive year the Stockton Cycling Festival, which is a free, three-day event and includes a host of activities for cyclist fans of all ages, has taken place.
For the second consecutive year, Jennings Kia, part of Jennings Motor Group, assisted the event by providing eight models from the Kia range as support vehicles.
In the run-up to the event, a competition to win a limited jersey, as well as taking a ride in the Jennings Kia guest VIP car at the event, was posted on the motor dealer group’s facebook page.
The presentation took place at Jennings Kia’s Concorde Way dealership in Stockton where Franchise Manager, Steven Flack and Jade Mulhearn, Sports Development Officer at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council, presented the limited edition jersey to lucky Leon.
Leon said; “I’m delighted with my prize, it was totally unexpected. This is the first time I’ve won anything on social media!”
