A successful advertising and marketing campaign promoting the September registration plate change, has contributed towards Jennings Ford achieving sales objectives for the third quarter of 2010 at its branches across the North East.

The successful ‘It’s second time around for the 60s at Jennings’ campaign, which took staff back in time to a decade of flower power, peace and love, was communicated to target audiences via a press, radio, pr and direct mail campaign.

Throughout the quarter, customers took advantage of a wide range of competitively priced models from Ford’s popular line-up at the group’s Middlesbrough, Stockton, Sunderland, Gateshead and South Shields dealerships.

The Ford Fiesta, retained its title at the top of the popularity chart, which was closely followed by the Ford Focus and Ka.

Other models in the Ford range include the Mondeo, Galaxy, S-MAX and Kuga, all of which are available to test drive at JenningsFord branches across the North East.

Colin Massey, sales manager at Jennings Ford in Middlesbrough, said; “At the start of the sixties, JenningsFord was celebrating 43 years of business in the North East. The campaign has been a huge success and we are delighted with the results for the third quarter and September alone.

“Following the success of September, which is renowned as the busiest sales period in the motor industry, we are anticipating a steady flow of sales during the last quarter of 2010 and expect the launch of the new Mondeo Sport model this month, to contribute towards this.”

The new model features a restyled exterior and uprated interior, new high-efficiency Ford EcoBoost petrol and TDCi diesel powertrains, plus a host of new driver comfort and convenience features and safety technologies.
