Matthew aims for a fourth consecutive win

For the past three consecutive years, a member of staff at Jennings Mazda has scooped the ‘top salesman’ title at the group’s branch in Sunderland.
Dedicated and committed, Matthew Kelly, 26, from Ashington, who works as a sales executive at the Riverside Road dealership, is aiming to achieve a fourth consecutive win for exceeding sales in 2009.
Chris Nixon, franchise manager at Jennings Mazda in Sunderland, said; “As a result of achieving high volumes of new and used sales, Matthew has placed top of the sales league table at Sunderland for the past three consecutive years.”
Chris added; “You can’t knock Matthew’s enthusiasm let alone his commitment to his customers. He has worked extremely hard and truly deserved to scoop first place.”
In 2008, Matthew sold a total of 155 new and used cars to customers across Wearside.
The most popular model in the range of new cars for 2008 was the Mazda2 supermini, which was originally launched in September 2007. Last year, saw the popular Mazda2 model being voted ‘World Car of the Year’ as a result of the distinctive styling, spacious cabin and excellent driving dynamics.
Matthew started working as a sales executive in 2005, when after working as a parts supervisor for another motor dealer in the area, decided it was time for a career change and made the switch from parts to sales.
“I always wanted to work in sales and when I was offered the job at Jennings Mazda I was delighted. I haven’t looked back since, it’s great!”
