According to staff at JenningsMazda, three particular models seem to be appealing to Motability customers.
The Mazda2, 3 and 5 models are placed at the top of the popularity chart for Motability customers not only at the group’s Riverside Road dealership in Sunderland, but also at the Cargo Fleet Lane branch in Middlesbrough.
“As soon as it has been confirmed that the customer is eligible for a car through the Motability programme, they can take their pick from a number of models in the Mazda range,” said Charlotte Sharp, Motability specialist based at JenningsMazda in Sunderland.
“Everything from the Mazda2, 3, 5 and 6 to the Mazda MX-5 and RX-8 is readily available for customers to test drive at both of our Mazda dealerships in the region, but the most popular models appear to be the Mazda2, 3 and 5.”
The Mazda2 supermini voted ‘2008 World Car of the Year’ is available in a 1.3 or 1.5-litre petrol engine or a 1.4-litre diesel model. The 3 and 5 door models boast aerodynamic design, an impressive range of standard equipment and comprehensive safety features.
The Mazda3 comes in 2 distinctive body styles – a four-door saloon and a 5-door hatchback. The model, which was upgraded this year now includes enhanced specification with a range of lively and eye catching features.
Complying with the latest Euro emissions requirements, in addition to achieving maximum safety of five stars with EuroNcap, the new Mazda5 is available with a choice of two petrol engines, a 1.8 and a 2.0-litre and two, 2.0-litre diesel engines.
Before a customer can qualify for a car through the Motability programme, they must be in receipt of one of the following benefits: the Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (HRMC of DVLA), War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMA).
Charlotte added; “In addition to Motability customers taking advantage of Mazda’s three-year contract hire Motability scheme, which includes full insurance cover, servicing and maintenance, other services are also available at JenningsMazda including the JenningsMazda Home Visit Scheme and an Adaptation service.”
If a customer is unable to visit the showroom in person, the Home Visit Scheme allows appointments to be made at their convenience and in the comfort of their own home.
The JenningsMazda Adaptation service involves vehicles being specifically adapted to meet individual needs and requirements.
