Md's public appeal to assist with fundraising target

Nas Khan, managing director of Jennings Motor Group, is appealing to the public to assist with the final phase of fundraising for his charity, The Emaan Foundation.
Already he has successfully raised two thirds of his £120,000 fundraising target, which is being used to construct a brand new village for the people of Rahim Yar Khan, south of Punjab, following the devastating floods in Pakistan last year.
Nas Khan, said; “The response we have received to date, which has contributed towards us raising a staggering £80,000 since the appeal launch eight months ago, has been absolutely overwhelming and tremendous.”
Nas went on to say; “We are now focussing on raising the last £40,000, which will see the completion of the new village, consisting of 60 homes, in addition to a deep tube well to provide clean water and livestock to ensure it is self sufficient.
“In order to help us achieve the final fundraising goal, I am appealing to the local community including schools, colleges, universities and any businesses in the North East, or members of the public for their valued support.”
In March of this year, Nas made an emotional visit to his native country. The trip was organised by respected aid agency, Human Appeal International and enabled Nas to witness first hand how the money raised at the time of the trip, was being spent.
Not only was he honoured to find out that the village was being named ‘The Emaan Village’, after his North East-based charity, but he was also overwhelmed to see and present the keys to three completed houses, to their new occupants.
The next fundraising event is scheduled to take place at The Mela in Albert Park, Middlesbrough, on Sunday 17th July 2011, from 12pm until 7pm. Tickets to win a brand new Ford Ka worth more than £9000 will be on sale. Priced at £50 each, a limited number of only 300 have been printed.
