Motability sales increase at Jennings Mazda
Posted on 21 Apr 2007
Staff at Jennings Mazda have reported a model in the Mazda range that seems to be appealing to Motability customers from across the region.
Charlotte Sharp, motability specialist at Jennings Mazda’s new Riverside Road dealership in Sunderland and Paul Trafford, motability specialist at the Group’s Middlesbrough branch, have recorded a significant increase in sales on the Mazda6 model.
The increase is down to Mazda’s successful advertising campaign, which was launched on the 1st January 2007 and is available for the duration of the first quarter. The campaign offers nil deposit on the Mazda6 model.
Chris Nixon, franchise manager at Jennings Mazda in Sunderland, said; “Across the Group’s two dealerships, we’ve sold 35 of the Mazda6 models, which is a fantastic response.”
“We work very closely with Motability across a variety of schemes and it is through these schemes that disabled people are offered a range of Mazda vehicles to suit their needs and increase their motability.”
As soon as a customer has chosen which scheme they wish to join, they then agree to assign all or part of their motability allowance. This depends on their choice of vehicle and lasts for the duration of their contract hire or hire purchase agreement period.
Motability customers eligible to purchase a vehicle through the scheme can take their pick from a wide range of models, including the Mazda2, 3, 5, 6 and MX-5.
Customers who need specific adaptations carried out to a vehicle can also take advantage of this service, which is available at JenningsMazda, in addition to a home visit service, available to those who are unable to get to the dealership.
Motability is a national UK charity that was set up by the government in 1977 with the object to help disabled people and their families to achieve greater mobility on the road.
