Motor dealer staff raise a cup for world’s biggest coffee morning

Staff at Jennings Ford Direct, part of the Jennings Motor Group, are taking part in the world’s biggest coffee morning for the second consecutive year and it’s all in a bid to raise more funds for Macmillan Cancer.

This Friday, 26th September, staff at the Newcastle Road dealership in South Shields, will be putting their culinary skills to the test when they prepare sandwiches and bake a variety of cakes and treats for the event.

In addition to staff and customers making a small donation for every cup of coffee they have at the dealership’s on site café, they will also be given the opportunity to purchase a number of sandwiches, fancy cakes and treats, in addition to raffle tickets for the charity’s Autumn raffle.

David Walker, general sales manager at the South Tyneside dealership, said; “The charity event was so successful and well received by both staff and customers last year that we were keen to do our bit again for this year’s event.

“The fact that we have a café on site, made sense to host the event, which we expect will be another huge success and raise funds for a very worthy cause.”

In 2013, 154,000 people signed up to take part in the coffee morning and raised a record 20 million.

All money raised will help make sure no one has to face cancer alone, from the moment they’re diagnosed, through to treatment and beyond.
