Four members of staff at Jennings Ford, part of the Jennings Motor Group, have been rewarded for achieving 70 years’ combined loyalty with the company.

Phillip Perkin, 51 and George Whitwell, 59, both from Stockton, Perminder Ghundoo, 58, from Darlington and Mark Connor, 38, from Ingleby Barwick, have accrued their years’ loyalty at Jennings Ford’s Yarm Road dealership in Stockton.

Working within the dealership’s busy service department, Phillip was recruited with the company 25 years ago when he was appointed as a motor vehicle technician.  Over the years, he has progressed to the most senior level after successfully achieving master technician status, the same position he holds today.

Phillip said; “I have always been happy and enjoyed working within the service department, so I’ve had no reason to look for alternative employment.

“Being given the chance to progress my career from technician status when I initially joined the company, through to master level was an excellent opportunity for me.”

Perminder, who has more than 30 years’ experience in the motor industry, having worked for a number of dealerships in the past, joined the company 15 years ago as a master technician.

Mark also joined the service department in 1999 when he was appointed as a technician.  Prior to joining the company, he gained valuable experience working for a local, independent garage.

Meanwhile, George Whitwell, who has more than 44 years’ experience as a paint technician, is also celebrating 15 years’ loyalty after being recruited within the bodyshop department.

The presentation took place when service manager, Ian Grant, handed the loyalty vouchers to the loyal team.

“It was a pleasure presenting our service and bodyshop members of staff with their loyalty vouchers.  They all work exceptionally hard and are dedicated and committed members of staff.”
