NEFD Motability promotion set to steer more people on road to freedom

Posted on 29 Sep 2009

Staff at Jennings Ford will be steering more customers on the road to motoring freedom and it’s all thanks to a new North East Ford Dealers Motability campaign.

On Friday 22nd May up to and including Sunday 24th May 2009, Motability events will be taking place across Jennings Ford’s five specialised Motability Centres in Teesside, Tyneside, Wearside and South Tyneside.

Customers eligible to purchase a vehicle through the Motability programme will be able to get professional advice and guidance from fully trained motability specialists based at the group’s Yarm Road branch in Stockton, Cargo Fleet Lane branch in Middlesbrough, Riverside Road branch in Sunderland, Eslington Park dealership in Gateshead and the Newcastle Road branch in South Shields.

The Motability dealer events are part of an on-going regional press and radio campaign, which has been co-ordinated on behalf of North East Ford Dealers who specialise in Motability, in order to build awareness about the benefits of the Motability programme.

At the events, customers will be able to talk to professional qualified staff about the criteria and benefits of Motability, see and test drive the range of Ford models available through the programme and take advantage of nil advance payments, which will be available on selected models.

In addition to this, everyone who attends will also be walking away with a free copy of the ‘Motability Rough Guide’ publication.

A host of other services will also be highlighted to customers at the event, including JenningsFord’s Adaptation Service which specifically caters for individual needs and requirements, in addition to the JenningsFord Home Visit Scheme for those who are unable to visit the dealership in person.

Paul Pellegrino is the motability specialist based at JenningsFord’s branch in Gateshead.

He said: “This is going to be a fantastic event for Motability customers who can come along and discuss the benefits of Motability, the criteria eligibility for the programme and see the models in the Ford range which are available through the scheme.”

“We’re also giving away a free copy of the ‘Motability Rough Guide’ publication to everyone who visits the event over the course of the weekend, which is packed with useful tips and information.”

Before a customer can take advantage of the Motability programme, they need to be in receipt of either the Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (HRMC of DVLA), War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMA) or currently driving a government vehicle, trike or mini.

As soon as the eligibility has been confirmed they can then take their pick from a number of models currently available across the Ford range, including the all-new Ka, all-new Fiesta, Focus, Fusion, C-MAX, Kuga, Mondeo, S-MAX and Galaxy.

For more information about the Motability event, customers can contact Paul Pelegrino at Gateshead on 0191 4607464, Gary Brown at Sunderland on 0191 5491111, Ray Maitland at South Shields on 0191 4276666, Jill Wilson at Stockton on 01642 632200 or Tracy Tobin at Middlesbrough on 01642 240055.
