New Computer system investment at Jennings generates new role for loyal Alan

A recent investment in technology at Jennings has resulted in a loyal member of staff taking on a new role within the group.
Alan Davison, 47, from West Sleekburn, near Ashington, has worked for the company since the age of 16, and has recently been promoted from service manager to group manager service analyst.
In his new role, one of Alan’s main responsibilities will be to develop the new dealer management system, Power, which has been installed at the group’s nine service departments across the region.
“I am delighted with the promotion, this is another fantastic opportunity for me and I am looking forward to further developing the new computer system at the group’s service departments across the group,” said Alan.
Alan’s career with Jennings started after he completed his ‘O’ Levels at Bedlington High School and joined the group’s former branch in Morpeth as an apprentice technician.
After four years, he was kept on the books full-time and continued to work as a technician for the next eight years prior to receiving his first promotion to workshop foreman.
In 1994, Alan received another promotion to service manager and transferred to the group’s service department on Parsons Road in Washington.
