New contract starts the New Year for Jennings Ford Gateshead

The New Year got off to a good start for Jennings Ford, when they clinched a deal to supply a batch of new cars to a local company.

When Metro Vehicle Hire, based in Dunston, was looking for a professional firm to supply a fleet of brand new vehicles, they turned to Jennings Ford’s Eslington Park dealership.

Metro Vehicle Hire started trading in September 2000 and provides a variety of vehicles for short and long term hire. Due to the nature of the business, it was imperative that the cars being purchased were reliable, economical and within the firm’s allocated budget.

“We’ve dealt with Jennings Ford in the past and we’ve always been more than happy with the high level of customer service,” said Richard Scott, director of Metro Vehicle Hire.

He added: “They’re an extremely professional company with an unbeatable reputation, they always pull-out-all-the stops to ensure their customers are happy and they’re based just around the corner from our premises, which is extremely convenient for both parties.”

Rob Chapman, who works closely with Jennings Ford’s Business Centre in Washington, is the local business executive representative for the Gateshead dealership. Rob was responsible for securing the deal which consists of a variety of 15 new Ford vehicles, including a Ford Galaxy, Focuses and Fiestas.

“The Business Centre is responsible for providing vehicles to local and national firms and we are delighted to have secured the deal with Metro Vehicle Hire and look forward to further developing our relationship in the future,” said Rob Chapman, local business executive.

The first official handover took place at the Gateshead dealership when George Wilson, manager of Metro Vehicle Hire received the key to a Ford Galaxy.
