The future is looking bright for a young and ambitious employee of Jennings Ford Direct who is about to embark on her final year in an accountancy course.
When 21-year-old, Danielle Hughes, from Boldon, started working in a part-time role at the Newcastle Road dealership in South Shields four years ago, she had no idea the job would lead to full-time employment, a promotion and additional qualifications.
About to embark on her final year of an AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification through Kaplan Financial Approach, Danielle is delighted to have been given this excellent opportunity and looking forward to a successful career within accountancy at the Jennings Ford Direct dealership.
“It’s great to have been given this excellent opportunity and to gain additional qualifications is an added bonus for me,” said Danielle.
Danielle started working at the South Shields dealership in September 2005 when she was appointed as a part-time receptionist. Initially, the job was to cover a member of staff who was on maternity leave, but it soon led to bigger and better things for Danielle and in 2007 she was offered full-time employment.
In addition to working on reception, Danielle started gaining valuable experience and knowledge working in sales administration and the accounts department.
Danielle added; “Gaining experience working in the accounts department made me realise just how much I wanted to pursue a career in accountancy.”
Within a short period of time, Danielle was promoted to an accounts administrator and was encouraged to enrol on the AAT course by her employer.
She added; “The course has provided me with valuable knowledge and skills which I am able to utilise in my day-to-day role with the company.”
Upon completion of the AAT course next year, Danielle is considering extending her studies and progressing on to the next level.
Commenting on Danielle’s success to date, John Hepple, group accountant, said; “We are extremely delighted with Danielle’s progress. She is a dedicated and committed member of staff with determination to succeed in whatever she does.”comments powered by
