New recruit expands Jennings Ford’s aftersales team

Jennings Ford, part of the multi-award winning Jennings Motor Group, has strengthened its aftersales team following the appointment of a new panel repair technician.
Paul Blackburn, 48, from Ovingham in Northumberland, is the latest member to join the bodyshop team at the group’s Eslington Park dealership in Gateshead.

In his new role, the time-served panel repair technician who has accrued more than 29 years’ experience in the industry, will work as part of a nine-strong team at the dealership, where he will be responsible for assessing damage to vehicles, removing and repairing damaged panels and completing vehicle reports of work carried out.
Paul said; “After leaving school I spent three years training as an Apprentice panel beater, and since then, I’ve always worked in the motor industry - it’s something I’ve always enjoyed.
“This is a great opportunity for me and I am delighted to be working for such a long established and highly regarded company as Jennings Ford.”
Prior to joining the dealership, Paul gained valuable experience and knowledge working as a panel repair technician for a number of motor dealers across the region.
Andrew Gills, bodyshop manager at the Jennings Ford dealership in Gateshead, said: “We are delighted to welcome Paul on board. He has extensive experience and knowledge in the accident repair industry. His appointment will further strengthen and complement the team at Gateshead.”
In addition to providing a range of aftersales facilities, including accident repair, service, MOT and parts, the Gateshead-based dealership also sells the entire range of new Ford models and a variety of quality used cars, as well as being able to cater for commercial business needs with an on-site Ford Transit Centre.
