Jennings Ford, part of the multi-award winning Jennings Motor Group, has expanded its parts department, after welcoming a new recruit on board.
Keiran Whitmill, 19, from South Shields, has joined the Eslington Park dealership in Gateshead, as a parts advisor.
Working as part of a five-strong team, Keiran’s new role as a parts advisor, entails being responsible for liaising with existing and potential customers, stock control, processing orders and meeting deadlines, in addition to also spending time out and about on the region’s roads delivering parts to customers.
Keiran said; “I’m thoroughly enjoying the role so far, we deal with a variety of businesses across the region, from one-man operations to multi-national firms, which is great experience for me.”
After completing his GCSE qualifications at Harton Technology College on Lisle Road in South Shields, Keiran went on to study towards a BTEC in uniformed public services at Gateshead College. After successfully completing the course, Keiran started looking for full-time employment and landed a job at Jennings Ford.
Welcoming Keiran on board, Bob Markey, parts supervisor at the Gateshead-based branch, said; “Keiran is very keen, ambitious and eager to learn new skills. Already he is proving to be an asset to the team at Gateshead.”
Jennings Ford operates three dealerships at Gateshead, Stockton and Middlesbrough, where the entire new Ford model line-up is available, in addition to aftersales facilities, including parts, service, MOT and accident repair centres being on site at all of the branches.
