The latest recruit at JenningsFord in Middlesbrough isn’t used to having his feet on dry land.
Richard Burtenshaw, 27, from Bishop Auckland, spent five years in the Royal Navy, prior to switching careers and landing a job in sales at JenningsFord’s Cargo Fleet Lane dealership in Middlesbrough.
In his role as sales executive, Richard will work as part of a 7-strong sales team and will be responsible for selling new and used cars to customers across Teesside in order to assist with achieving quarterly objectives set out by Ford Motor Company, in addition to liaising with both existing and potential customers, processing orders and delivering cars to customers.
“This is an excellent opportunity for me and a challenge I am very much looking forward to,” said Richard.
Throughout his time in the Royal Navy, where he was responsible for operating and maintaining weapon systems on board, Richard also gained a wealth of additional qualifications, including an NVQ Level 2 in Information Technology and an NVQ Level 3 in customer service management, which initially contributed towards landing the role at JenningsFord.
Colin Massey, sales manager at JenningsFord in Middlesbrough, said; “We are delighted to welcome Richard on board. He has excellent customer service skills and is proving to be an exceptional sales person.”
Prior to joining JenningsFord, Richard spent time working as a vehicle progressor for another motor dealer based in Darlington.
