Jennings Ford has boosted team moral for a local football team after stepping in with a brand new set of strips.
Coulby Newham’s Under 14s football team were in desperate search for a reliable sponsor to fund a brand new strip and turned to Jennings Ford in Stockton, where staff were more than willing to fund the club’s request.
Currently placed in division three of the Teesside Junior Football Alliance, the new strips have not only been a welcome boost to the team, but also to the club which is currently raising funds for an £800,000 purpose built clubhouse.
“Not having to fund the strips ourselves has enabled us to focus on raising essential funds which will contribute towards the proposed new Clubhouse,” said Charlie Johns, team manager.
On completion the state-of-the-art Clubhouse will boast changing rooms, a teaching room and a social area for the youngsters. To date the Club has raised £10,000 through various fundraising activities.
Charlie Johns added: “The new strips have been the perfect tonic for the lads who are all over the moon. Despite having only won two games this season, the strips have certainly boosted moral and improved overall performance.”
Coulby Newham Football Club has 14 teams with boys aged between seven and 17 years old from North Ormesby, Acklam, Lingfield Farm and Hemlington and competing in various leagues each week.
Commenting on the sponsorship, Steven Flack, sales manager at Jennings Ford in Stockton said: “As a company heavily involved in the local community, we were delighted to assist the team and would like to wish them every success in the future.”comments powered by
