New Technician is aiming for top status thanks to support from Jennings Kia

Jennings Kia, part of the multi-award winning Jennings Motor Group, has expanded its aftersales team, following the appointment of a new motor vehicle technician.

22-year-old, Jordan McSporran, from Skelton, near Saltburn, is the latest recruit to join the service department at the Concorde Way dealership.

As motor vehicle technician, Jordan will be working as part of a six-strong team and will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and replacing parts under the bonnet for customers, using the latest tools and diagnostic equipment and genuine parts at the Stockton-based dealership.

Jordan is also being given the opportunity to progress his career to the next level of senior technician and eventually to the highest level of Master technician status.

Service manager, Ian Grant, said; “The volume of work being booked through the workshop has resulted in a recruitment drive within the service department and we are delighted to welcome Jordan on board.

“He is a young, keen and very ambitious member of the team who, in the near future, will be given the opportunity to progress his career to the next level of senior technician through Nottingham-based Kia Academy Training Centre.”

Prior to joining Jennings Kia, Jordan spent four years working for an independent garage in Darlington where he achieved Level 1 and Level 2 in motor vehicle maintenance and repair.

Jordan said; “I am delighted to be working for such a long established and highly respected motor dealer group.

“My overall aim is to achieve the highest level of Master technician status and I’m delighted that I’m going to be given this excellent opportunity through my new employer.”

The service department at Stockton has a dedicated team of staff, including service receptionists and advisors, technicians and Master technicians, in addition to drivers and a workshop foreman and controller.
