A member of staff at Jennings Ford has added another string to his bow, after successfully completing a training course which will enable him to specialise in Motability.
Richard Burtenshaw, 30, from Bishop Auckland, joined Jennings Ford’s Cargo Fleet Lane dealership in Middlesbrough three years ago when he was appointed as a sales executive.
As a result of his continuous hard work, Richard was nominated by sales manager, Colin Massey, to complete relevant training which qualifies him to sell Ford vehicles through the Motability programme.
In addition to his role as sales executive which entails selling the Ford product range and quality used cars to customers across Teesside, Richard is working as deputy motability specialist alongside the dealership’s motability specialist, Tracy Tobin, to advise and assist the dealership’s Motability customers about the Ford range and other services available to them.
In addition to this, he has also recently successfully completed an intensive training course in business finance, which was organised by Ford Motor Company.
Richard, said; “I am delighted to have been given this additional responsibility within my existing role, which is an excellent opportunity for me.”
Jennings Ford in Middlesbrough offers the full Ford range, including the Ka, Fiesta, Focus, Fusion, Mondeo, C-MAX, S-MAX, Galaxy and Kuga.
Motability is a national charity which was set up by the government in 1977 with the object to help disabled people and their families achieve greater mobility on the road.
In order to qualify for a car through Motability, customers must be in receipt of one of the following benefits: the Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Allowance (HRMC of DVLA), War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS) or currently driving a government vehicle, trike or mini.
