Second award for service department

The New Year brought another reason to celebrate for service staff at Jennings Ford in Washington, when it was announced they had scooped another award.
The service department, based on Parsons Road in Washington, has once again beaten tough competition from the group’s other dealerships across the region and scooped the ‘Service Department of the Year’ internal award for 2009.
This is the second time in three years that the Washington team has been presented with the award after being the first department to achieve it when it was initiated in 2007.
Criteria for the award includes; achieving outstanding levels of customer care, meeting objectives set out by Ford Motor Company, training achievements, surpassing levels of health and safety, in addition to taking steps to protect the environment.
Despite facing tough competition from service departments at the group’s Sunderland, South Shields, Gateshead, Middlesbrough and Stockton branches, the Washington branch scooped the title for their consistent hard work throughout 2009.
Commenting on achieving the award, Alan Davison, service manager at Jennings Ford, said; “The service team at Washington, which consists of service advisors, warranty clerks, workshop supervisors, drivers, parts representatives and technicians, have all worked extremely hard in order to achieve this award for the second time in three years and I am absolutely delighted.”
The official presentation, which will take place over the coming months, will include Nicky Dalkin, operations director for the Jennings Motor Group, handing the award to Alan and the service team at the Washington branch.
Nicky Dalkin, said; “We have many internal awards in place across the Group, all of which have been implemented in order to praise staff for their hard work and efforts. This particular award was initiated in recognition of achieving extremely high standards not only in workmanship, but also as a result of consistently achieving outstanding levels of customer care throughout the course of the year.”
