Second promotion for new Mazda manager

A member of staff at Jennings Mazda is celebrating a second promotion.
James Chorlton, 41, from Willington, near Crook, has taken over as franchise manager at the Group’s Mazda dealership, based on Cargo Fleet Lane in Middlesbrough.
In his new role, James will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the dealership, achieving quarterly sales targets, liaising with existing and potential customers, in addition to overseeing a team of sales and administration staff.
James joined the Jennings Motor Group six years ago when he was appointed as a sales executive at the Group’s former Ford dealership at Neville’s Cross in Durham. In June 2003, when the Group launched its Mazda dealership in Washington, James was promoted to sales controller/business manager.
In September 2006, James and the team from Washington relocated the Group’s new, purpose built premises located on Riverside Road, just off Wessington Way in Sunderland, where he continued his role as sales controller/business manager, prior to being promoted to franchise manager.
“I’m delighted with the promotion and look forward to the challenges ahead,” said James.
He added; “Sales can only go from strength to strength with something to offer everyone in the Mazda range, whether it be for private or business use.”
Prior to joining Jennings, James spent 14 years in the retail sector as a bakery manager for Sainsbury’s.
