Two specialist technicians at Jennings Ford, part of the multi-award winning Jennings Motor Group, have successfully completed training, which will allow them to work on Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs).
Loyal employees, Martin Small and Phil Perkin have completed intensive training courses at Ford Motor Company’s training centre in Doncaster, where they learnt how to safely and competently disable the system on the all-new Ford Mondeo Hybrid model, in order to allow necessary repairs to be carried out.
Ian Grant, service manager at Jennings Ford’s Yarm Road brand in Stockton, said; “Customers can relax in the knowledge that fully Ford trained technicians and specialist technicians are on hand to service and MOT retail, fleet and commercial vehicles at the dealership, using the latest tools and advanced diagnostic technology.
“As advances in technology continue to change at a rapid pace and following the introduction of the all-new Mondeo Hybrid model to the Ford range, a completely new training programme has been implemented for specialist technicians across the group’s Ford branches.
“Work is always carried out to the highest and safest standards at all times, in keeping with the company’s award-winning customer service.”
The all-new Ford Mondeo HEV is the first ever model to be manufactured by Ford in Europe. Combining the benefits of both electric and petrol power, the Hybrid model enables customers to enjoy outstanding efficiency and refinement along with rewarding performance and driving range.
The Hybrid model is available as a saloon and comes with a 2.0-litre petrol engine, paired with an electric motor and offers C02 emissions of 99g/km.
Customers can take advantage of new LED light technology, which adjusts according to weather, speed and light conditions, in addition to a pedestrian detection system. It also comes with a city braking system, nine airbags and optional inflating rear seatbetls.
Equipment includes Ford’s innovative SYNC2 infotainment system, which has an 8-inch touch-screen as standard, DAB digital radio and Bluetooth.
