Sponsorship leads to ‘top of the league’ performance

A team of young and ambitious footballers are celebrating being ‘top of the league’, but they reckon their performance is all thanks to a recent sponsorship deal with local Ford dealer, Jennings.
Over the past three games, the team of 13-year-olds from Tyneside Juniors, who compete in the Russell Foster League, have scored a staggering 23 goals.
“We already had a sponsor for the kits, but we desperately needed someone to sponsor some jackets and that’s when the JenningsFord dealership at Eslington Park in Gateshead kindly stepped in,” said Ian Millburn, team manager.
Ian went on to say; “As well as boosting moral off the pitch, without a doubt they have improved performance on the pitch, which is absolutely fantastic for the lads.”
“Since the team started wearing their new jackets, they’ve won every game!”
The most recent win was against the City of Durham when Tyneside Juniors walked away with a 3-1 victory.
John Wake, sales manager at JenningsFord in Gateshead, said; “As a company very much committed to the local community, we were delighted to assist Tyneside Juniors with their sponsorship request.”
John added; “We’re delighted to hear the jackets have brought luck to the team and that they’re top of the league. It’s great to see youngsters with such ambition to succeed.”
