The aim of the promotion is to get as many local businesses and members of staff to donate Easter Eggs, which will be collected and distributed to hundreds of children who unfortunately will be spending Easter Sunday in hospitals across the North East.

James Chorlton, General Sales Manager at Jennings Kia and Mazda in Sunderland, said: “It’s sad to know that unfortunately some children will be spending time in hospital over the Easter period, when they should be at home with family and friends, so when we heard about the appeal, we were more than willing to help out with a donation of Easter Eggs.”

Pauline Peniche, Station Director at Smooth Radio North East said “We are so pleased to be working with New Horizons Transport & Training on such a lovely project and it’s fantastic to see key businesses across the region signing up to help us really brighten up Easter for those children who are sick and spending it away from their loved ones.”
