Staff clock 160 years of combined loyalty at Jennings Ford dealership

Eight members of staff at Jennings Ford, part of the multi-award winning Jennings Motor Group, are celebrating achieving a combined 16 decades of loyalty with the company.

It’s not just customers who are loyal to the region’s longest established motor dealer group, which operates Ford, Ford Direct, Kia, Mazda, SEAT and Mitsubishi branches, as well as two Harley-Davidson dealerships® and a SUBWAY® store.

It seems there’s always a special celebration going on to mark staff loyalty somewhere in the company, with certificates and loyalty voucher presentations becoming a regular occurrence.

The most recent presentation took place at the group’s Yarm Road dealership in Stockton, where eight members of staff across the company’s service, parts and accident repair centre, celebrated a combined 160 years of loyalty between them.

Senior service advisor, Charlie Stewart, 57, from Stockton, is the longest serving member of staff after accruing a total of 40 years’ loyal service.

Members of staff celebrating 20 years’ loyal service include, David Stanley, Steven Hamer and Paul Fletcher, while Nigel Lakey, Marc Brett, Martin McQuade and Philip Robertson have all achieved 15 years’ loyalty each.

It is company policy to reward staff for their loyalty after achieving 15 years of service, then after every additional five years.  This year alone has seen a total of 29 members of staff across the group being rewarded for a combined 660 years’ loyalty.

Group service and bodyshop manager, Brian Johnston, and group parts manager, Kevin Gibbon, paid a visit to the Stockton-based dealership to congratulate the dedicated team.

Brian Johnston, said: “I would like to congratulate each member of staff.  It is an incredible loyalty milestone, which has only been achieved through continuous hard work, commitment and dedication.  Well done to everyone involved.

“The staff loyalty programme is a great incentive for staff to have their hard work recognised in such a rewarding way.”
