Staff clock loyalty awards at Jennings Ford dealership

Two members of staff have been rewarded for a combined 45 years’ loyalty at Jennings Ford, part of the multi-award winning Jennings Motor Group.

Motability specialist, Paul Pellegrino, from, Ryton in Gateshead, has achieved 25 years of continued service and master technician, Steve Murray, from Blyth in Northumberland, is celebrating 20 years of loyalty at the Eslington Park dealership in Gateshead.

Paul’s career began when he was appointed as a sales executive, but within a short period of time, he was promoted to Motability specialist.  The job entails being responsible for hundreds of customers who are eligible to a new vehicle through the Motability programme.

Over the years, Paul has built a strong database of customers who have also remained loyal to the company and the brand.

Paul said: “Being able to assist customers by getting them on the road to mobility, gives you a great deal of job satisfaction.  I have always enjoyed the job I do, which is why I’ve never felt the need or wanted to look for alternative employment.”

Meanwhile, in the Ford service department at the dealership, Steven Murray, who is responsible for diagnosing and fixing problems under the bonnet, has celebrated two decades of loyalty.

Steve started his career as a motor vehicle technician, but he soon worked his way up the ranks.  In 2005, Steve was the region’s first technician to qualify in an initiative governed by The Institute of the Motor Industry, when he became a diagnostic technician.  He has since successfully progressed to the highest level of Master technician status.

The loyalty presentation took place at the Gateshead-based dealership where sales manager, Barry Fearon and service manager, Ian Stewart, handed Paul and Steve their loyalty vouchers and certificates.

Sales manager, Barry Fearon, said; “It was an absolute pleasure presenting the vouchers and certificates to two valuable members of the sales and service team.”

Jennings Motor Group rewards members of staff when they achieve 15 years’ loyalty, then awards are presented after every five years. 

This year alone has seen a grand total of 29 members of staff being rewarded for a combined 660 years’ loyalty.
